From Savannah International Airport. Approximately 40 minutes. Exit the I-95 North exit out of the airport and continue on I-95 until you reach Exit 8 to Hilton Head Island (Hwy. 278). Proceed on Hwy. 278 approximately 15 miles to the Hilton Head Island bridge. Cross the bridge and continue approximately 1.5 miles to Squire Pope Road (first traffic light). Turn left onto Squire Pope Road and follow this road, which becomes Seabrook Drive, until you reach Daufuskie Island Resort Embarkation Center, located on your left. Proceed through the main entrance and around the circle. Our bellmen will be there to greet you and assist with your luggage. You will then take a 45 minute passenger cruise to Daufuskie at the scheduled departure time. From Hilton Head Island Airport. Approximately 10 minutes. Turn left on Beach City Road when exiting the airport and follow to the end. Turn right on Hwy. 278 and follow it to Gumtree Road. Turn right onto Gumtree Road and follow to the end. Turn right on Squire Pope Road and follow this road, which becomes Seabrook Drive, until you reach Daufuskie Island Embarkation Center, located on your left. Proceed through the main entrance and around the circle. Our bellmen will be there to greet you and assist with your luggage. The Stoddard Bistro - Located on the second floor of the Melrose Mansion, offers a warm, charming bistro atmosphere with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean amidst the sounds of light jazz. The menu is rich with Asian and Mediterranean influences, featuring sensational regional favorites and a contemporary array of fresh seafood, sushi, pasta and beef specialties. Guests may also enjoy a wide sampling of our own Breathe Spa healthy choice alternatives. The Bistro also offers an extensive wine list of classic varietals and wines by the glass. The Stoddard Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Hours are seasonal and subject to change. Attire is resort casual. Jack's Place - Located in the Melrose Clubhouse and this halfway house offers a limited sandwich menu and cocktails at the bar for golfers and tennis players on the go. With a scenic veranda overlooking the Stan Smith designed Tennis Center and Melrose Golf Course, its the perfect place to swing by with or without your clubs (or racquet) for cocktails, snacks and sandwiches. You can also relax and catch your favorite game update on the bar's big screen TV. Hours vary by season. The Bloody Point Grill - Located in the Bloody Point Clubhouse adjacent to Breathe Spa, offers a limited sandwich menu for golfers and guests of Breathe Spa. Offers guests a relaxing venue after a challenging round of golf, a game of tennis, or a day-full of spa treatments. Hours vary by season. The Inn Lounge - Located inside the lobby of The Melrose Mansion and features pool tables with scenic ocean views overlooking the croquet lawn. The Inn Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy your favorite cocktail, cordials or wines by the glass. Attire is resort casual. The lounge seats 50. Hours: Opens at 3:30 p.m. General Store - Although we are an island, rest assured we have conveniences for your beach cottage home or guest suite close by. On the resort grounds, located on the Ave of Oaks, you will find our general store. To make your visit to Daufuskie Island as comfortable as possible, the general store offers wine, beer, spirits and grocery items for guests that would prefer cooking in their beach cottage. There are BBQ grills for rent and pizzas made to order. Along with grocery items, there are retail resort items available such as t-shirts, hats, swim suits, and sunscreen lotion. For your added convenience, the general store offers a stocking-service.Simply call ahead prior to your arrival and our staff will have your cottage or inn room stocked with your favorite grocery items ready for your arrival. Providing 16,000 square feet of additional function space (for a resort total of 21,000 square feet), the Island House features two ballrooms, nine meeting and dining rooms, including two fully appointed boardrooms, and a banquet kitchen. The most spacious of the rooms, The Daufuskie Ballroom (3,572 square feet), can be divided into three separate function areas, as can the 2,450-square-foot Calibogue Room.
