Perhaps it's the personalized service and somewhat casual atmosphere that encourages writers to describe the hotel as European in style. Though understandable, the hotel is also, undoubtedly, unique to Boston. Owned and operated by the Saunders family of Boston for three generations, the Copley Square Hotel is a local landmark, gracing the corner of Huntington Avenue and Exeter Street. Its location in the heart of Boston's Back Bay at Copley Square -its namesake puts it conveniently within walking distance -or short T-ride of all the city's major sites and attractions. The staff, some of whom have been with the hotel for more than 30 years, is proud to offer each guest the type of personal attention only possible in such a small, intimate setting.
